Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel was allegedly stabbed by a 16-year-old while he gave a live-streamed sermon on the evening of April 15 at the Christ The Good Shepherd Church in Wakeley.

Father Isaac Royel was also injured in the altercation.

Following the alleged terror attack, a large crowd gathered outside the church, with multiple police injured as they tried to restore order.

As part of an ongoing response, police have now charged a 19th man in connection with the riot.

A 24-year-old man was arrested at Fairfield Police Station today.

He was charged with rioting and destroying or damaging property during public disorder.

He was refused bail and will appear in court tomorrow.

The investigation continues.
