At about 10.30pm, the group broke into a home on Bower Bird Street in Hinchinbrook, police were told.
Three of the intruders were armed with guns.
They attacked two of the residents before leaving on foot.
Police believe no shots were fired.
One resident was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Eight other people at the home at the time were not hurt.
