Tony told Nine radio’s 3AW Afternoons a brawl had unfolded between two men shortly before police arrived.
“There was a brawl in the middle of the shopping centre,” he said.
“Two people were fighting with each other and it looked like one pulled out a weapon, not sure, it could be a knife.”
Tony said multiple people, including some people working at a barber shop nearby, intervened and tackled the men.
A 30-year-old Sunshine man was arrested and is assisting police.
