Las Vegas: So, there’s this lawyer, Alex Ghibaudo, who’s been in hot water with the State Bar of Nevada again.
He just got hit with a 90-day suspension. Ghibaudo claims it’s all a “slap-on-the-wrist” and says he’s been unfairly targeted.
He’s actually done with practicing law now. He mentioned he was already winding things down before the suspension hit.
Ghibaudo has a pretty rough history with the bar, including complaints about abandoning clients and making unprofessional calls.
Back in 2015, he talked about his struggles with depression and other issues after a five-year suspension.
The Supreme Court found he broke several rules, like not making valid claims in court and not treating others fairly.
There’s also another lawyer involved, Michancy Cramer, who got a public reprimand for her role in the same case.
Ghibaudo and Cramer both said they felt targeted by another attorney, Karen Connolly, who filed a report against them.
They described the custody case they worked on as one of the toughest of their careers.
Ghibaudo even set a deposition on Christmas Day, which didn’t sit well with the court.
He’s been in trouble before, with a history of suspensions and even arrests related to domestic issues.
Ghibaudo said he could have accepted a reprimand but doesn’t think he deserved a suspension this time. He admits he could have handled things better, though.
It’s a messy situation, and it seems like the drama in family law cases can get pretty intense.
