Emergency services were called to a house ablaze on Third Street in Magill about 10.45pm yesterday.

First responders were able to safely evacuate the six adults inside the burning home.

Luckily, no one was injured and firefighters extinguished the flames.

Investigators believe the fire begun in a bedroom and, as a result, a 47-year-old man from Magill has today been charged with arson and endanger life.

Police believe he will likely be refused bail when he appears before court tomorrow.

Investigations into the matter are continuing.
