A man is in a critical condition after an alleged break-in in Sydney’s south-west overnight.

Police were called to a home on Deller Avenue in Cabramatta West at 3am after reports of a home invasion.

Officers arrived at the home to find a 38-year-old man with head injuries.

They were told that the man, his partner and four children were at home when three men allegedly entered the home and assaulted him.

The 38-year-old was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

A crime scene has been established while police continue to investigate.
