A man and woman will appear in court today following the death of a two-year-old child in the New South Wales Riverina last year.

On Friday, December 1, a two-year-old boy was taken to Griffith Base Hospital with significant head injuries.

He was airlifted to Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, however, he died on Sunday, December 3.

Just before 11 am yesterday, police attended a property in the Griffith area and arrested a 21-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man.

They were both charged with domestic violence-linked manslaughter.

The woman was also charged with the domestic violence assault of a two-month-old baby in November last year.

They were both refused bail.

Inquiries under Strike Force Burtundy continue.
