A 10-year-old boy is missing and was last seen leaving a community hall in New South Wales.

Riley Baker was last sighted leaving the hall on Old Belmont Road in Belmont North, south of Newcastle, at about 8pm on Thursday.

Police are now looking for him and his family is concerned for his welfare.

Riley is white, about 155cm tall and thin with short, dark brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a gold football jersey, blue shorts and no shoes.

Anyone with information into Riley’s whereabouts is urged to call Lake Macquarie Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
