The 30-year-old woman was travelling from Collins Street to Wantirna South about 3.30am on June 27. 
Police will allege the male driver sexually assaulted her throughout the duration of the 45-minute trip.
The driver is also alleged to have stolen the victim’s engagement ring from her finger, police said.
A 28-year-old man was arrested at Melbourne International Airport on June 29 and charged 15 counts of sexual assault and one count of theft.
He was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
