Nashville: So, there was a shooting at Antioch High School on Wednesday. At least two students got hurt, but thankfully, the police have managed to contain the situation.
The police spokesperson, April Weatherly, didn’t have details on how the students are doing. The school has around 2,000 students and is located about 10 miles southeast of downtown Nashville.
It seems the shooter shot the two students before turning the gun on themselves. We don’t know yet if the shooter was a student.
School officials are telling parents to avoid coming to the school to pick up their kids. Instead, they should head to a nearby hospital. The students will be bused there once they’re released by the police.
The FBI is not involved in the investigation at this point; the Metro Nashville Police are handling it. They haven’t asked for any help from the FBI yet.
This incident hits hard, especially since Nashville has been dealing with school shootings recently. Just last March, a shooter took the lives of three kids and three adults at The Covenant School.
