The beloved feature of Love Island has officially been removed from the All Stars edition.
As the Love Island All Stars finale approaches, viewers are left wondering why the much-anticipated Movie Night is missing.
In the previous season, Movie Night was rebranded as the PDA Awards, where Georgia Steel took home the title of ‘Most Sneaky All Star’ and Toby Aromolaran was named ‘Most Salty All Star,’ among other controversial awards. During the summer, this event was called The Grafties, which caused frustration for Nicole Samuel when she saw her partner Ciaran Davies during Casa Amor.
This season’s All Stars has introduced games like To Be Honest, public questions, and Spin The Bottle, which have already created drama among the contestants. Fans are now curious if a version of Movie Night will still make an appearance.
Why is there no Movie Night in Love Island All Stars 2025?
It has been announced that there will be no Movie Night or similar events in 2025, despite its inclusion in the inaugural All Stars series, due to complaints made to Ofcom during the PDA Awards and The Grafties in 2024.
A source revealed to the tabloids that this version of All Stars has removed the PDA awards, which caused considerable tension in the villa last year and led to multiple complaints to Ofcom.

The source went on to explain, “The PDA Awards replaced Movie Night and The Grafties, both of which were popular challenges in the main series. However, for this second season of All Stars, the producers wanted to avoid repetition.”
“They plan to introduce completely new format elements that are different from the regular series, with the goal of keeping the audience engaged. While there won’t be any events like the PDAs or Movie Night, viewers can look forward to a variety of surprises and unexpected twists in the final days of the series.”
In conclusion, they mentioned, “The series is set to wrap up with an exciting finale.”
This year, ITV has already received complaints from Ofcom. Reports indicate that Grace Jackson’s comment to Luca Bish, telling him to “just shut the f— up” during the Spin The Bottle segment after he kissed Samie Elishi, has led to 57 viewer complaints.
Moreover, fans of the show have been calling for the removal of Elma Pazar due to her confrontations with people like Ekin-Su and Curtis Pritchard.
After Elma told Sammy Root that she wasn’t interested in Curtis, even going so far as to say he was “not even my cup of lukewarm p—,” one viewer remarked on X: “Ofcom WILL be hearing from me tonight about Elma’s attitude and tone x.”
Another viewer mentioned: “I’ve filed a complaint about Elma to Ofcom and urge others to do the same. Bullying is NOT entertainment.”
For those who may not know, Ofcom is the UK government-approved regulatory body that oversees all broadcast media, telecommunications, and postal services.
The report has also hinted at the potential return of a Movie Night for the main series, which is expected to kick off again in the summer.
