While Chelsea’s performances continue to only impress few in 2025, the same cannot be said for one of their club legends during his time at his new club.
One of the biggest success stories in English football so far this season, Coventry City, currently look good for a spot in the Championship playoffs following their extraordinary turnaround in form, with this coming as a result of hiring Frank Lampard as manager.
The Blues hero will likely have been feeling the pressure to succeed after being relieved of his duties from jobs at Chelsea and Everton recently.
It has not taken long though for Coventry fans to love Lampard, and this is a lot easier when the man in charge is delivering positive results every single week.
Lampard broke a 55-year record recently after delivering eight wins out of nine, and that set of results only got better with a dominant 3-0 win over Sunderland on Saturday.

Former Chelsea youngster Jay Dasilva is starring for Frank Lampard at Coventry
The Englishman has stuck to a very similar side when possible, however has found a place for former Chelsea youngster Jay Dasilva to feature at either left-back or left-midfield.
The 26-year-old has made 29 appearances in all competitions for the Sky Blues this season, and played 90 minutes in the 3-0 win at home this weekend.
Dasilva was one of three brothers who joined Chelsea in 2012, and was recognised as a first team option from 2016.
However, it was loan spells to Charlton Athletic and Bristol City which followed, with his time at Stamford Bridge eventually coming to a permanent end in 2019.

Jay Dasilva’s history-making time at Chelsea
The Chelsea academy has always been known for producing great talents, however the youth sides of around ten years ago seem to stand above most.
The young Blues won a plethora of FA Youth Cups around this time, and Dasilva became one of only seven players in history to win the competition three times.
The only others to achieve this are Jake Clarke-Salter and five of the famed ‘Busby Babes’ who completed the achievement while at Manchester United.
Coventry will be competing right to the end for a place in the Premier League next season, and Dasilva will be key to Lampard’s plans to gain a sensational promotion.
