Social media feeds are filled with snaps that have been edited to perfection and we all know most people share idealised versions of themselves.

But these side-by-side shots reveal what people look like away from the filters, FaceTuning and careful posing.

From drink-driving to smuggling drugs into prison, no one looks perfect all of the time.

Here, MailOnline looks at how crooks’ social media snaps compare to their court appearances.

The couple began dating in May 2020 but split up in February last year after an argument in which Mr Harley accidentally broke Felton’s finger and she kicked him in the groin.

Mr Harley, who lives with his mother in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, eventually called in police when Felton began leaving gifts on his doorstep.

Mr Harley accused Felton of controlling him during their 21-month relationship.

At Chester magistrates’ court, Felton admitted harassment after her not guilty plea to coercive behaviour was accepted by prosecutors.

She was bailed for sentencing but could face up to six months behind bars.

Senior district judge Paul Goldspring told Hughes: ‘He (Prof Whitty) goes about his very difficult job without the expectation of yobs like you accosting him, assaulting him.

‘And to compound it all, he was further humiliated by that video being posted.’

Bernadette Halliwell was stopped on the M6 near Keele services in Staffordshire during the evening rush hour last year after she was caught weaving around the carriageway.

Halliwell was on her way to buy her son a slide she had seen on the internet when she got pulled over.

The mother-of-one, a carer from Kearsley, Bolton, was detained on suspicion of drink driving but failed to give a breath test at the roadside due to her not blowing into the machine properly.

She later admitted drinking wine ahead of her journey and claimed she had only been driving erratically because she had got lost and ‘flustered’, momentarily taking her eyes off the road to pick up her son’s baby bottle which had fallen.

After the incident, Halliwell was ordered to face court and given an interim driving ban.

However, she was subsequently caught driving the same BMW 116 vehicle while subject to her ban and falsely gave her sister’s name as the driver to try and avoid repercussions.

At Wigan magistrates court Halliwell admitted to failing to provide a specimen of breath, being drunk in charge of a child, driving while disqualified and having no insurance.

The single mother escaped jail time and instead was ordered to complete a two-year community order and was banned from driving for 18 months.

But last year, the father-of-two was arrested after he drove the 198mph six litre Bentley home drunk following lunch at his local pub where he had been raising a few glasses to his late mother who had died in 2021.

Officers responding to reports the car was being driven at excessive speed around the area traced the vehicle outside Greenslade’s modest end-terrace home in Wilmslow, Cheshire and found him asleep in the front driver’s seat.

The jailbird was arrested in March last year over an expletive-laden and homophobic rant against an officer while being taken to a police station before abusing the rest of the officers when being brought to the cells.

During her rampage, Ms Newall headbutted the clear plastic Perspex of a police van and spat on the floor telling one PC: ‘I am going to smash your head off, you f***ing grass, you f***ing grassing b*****d. ‘You are f***ing dead you little f****t.’

Ayshea Gunn, from Wrexham, was photographed in public for the first time this week since leaving jail.

She had been sentenced to 12 months in prison at Mold Crown Court in 2019 after admitting misconduct in a public office for enjoying steamy trysts with the convicted armed robber while working at the prison.

She was photographed kissing Razaq, who was serving a 12-year sentence for conspiracy to rob, in his cell and exchanged more than 1,200 phone calls, including explicit video calls, with him in less than five months working at HMP Berwyn.

MailOnline has learned that the criminology and psychology graduate has now embarked on a new career with a fashion company based in nearby Llangollen – and lives alone in a modern top-floor flat near Wrexham with her dog, a chihuahua cross.

When approached and asked about her criminal past she expressed frustration that her case had come back to public attention because of Gavan being jailed – and said she has tried hard to turn her life around.

Gunn told MailOnline: ‘I’ve moved on. It’s annoying this has all been dragged up again because another female guard has been jailed for the same offence.

A court heard the boy who was not wearing a seatbelt, now has a ‘significant scar’ to the side of his face and walks with a limp.
