Five years ago, spearing suffered life-threatening injuries in a terrifying training incident when a two-year-old horse lashed out on the gallops.
He had to be rushed to the intensive care unit at Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital by air ambulance. The incident left Spearing with a head injury, stroke, and bleeding in the brain.
