Meth-addled child sex ‘deviant’ who escaped jail for sneaking into primary school toilets to fulfil vile fantasies found with child exploitation material

  • Matthew Healy, 21, charged with child material possession
  • Charged last year with two primary school incidents
  • Placed on supervised bail with mandatory drug testing

A man caught sneaking into a primary school bathroom while high on meth to fulfil vile sex fantasies has now been found in possession of child exploitation material.

Matthew Healy, 21, was caught entering the bathrooms of Adelaide’s Playford Primary School overnight twice last year and was sentenced to a an 18-month good behaviour bond in August – with no conviction recorded.

Healy forced open a door to a toilet block and left behind a blonde wig, sports bra and a used condom.

South Australia‘s District Court heard he would rifle through charity bins to steal children’s underwear or take them from clotheslines, Adelaide Now reported.

‘He’s gone to the toilet block, he’s got female underwear, he’s masturbating,’ Judge Paul Muscat told the court on Thursday

‘He’s placed pornography on the wall. Everything points to that offending being motivated solely by his sexual deviancy.’

A subsequent investigation linked the semen in a used condom to Healy using DNA matching.

A raid on his home also led police to disturbing child exploitation material – a charge which he has pleaded guilty to.

Judge Muscat said the material Healy had written was so sickening a police officer refused to include it in his statement.

The court heard Healy had started using methamphetamine due to the stresses of court proceedings, with his lawyer Andrew Ey saying his client is now committed to staying sober.

A psychologist submitted evidence that Healy suffered from ‘pedophilic sexual orientation’ and that the dangerous drug increased his sexual drive.

Judge Muscat issued a stern warning for the 21-year-old before he returns to court in June

‘If he’s caught while on bail using methamphetamine I’m going to revoke his bail … and he’ll be remanded in custody,’ he said.

As part of Healy’s supervised bail conditions he must continue to participate in a treatment program.
