This is the shocking moment a shopper trashes a phone store in west London and racially abuses a worker because they ‘refused’ to give her a refund.

The woman pulled dozens of phone cases off the shelves and threw them on the floor during the angry rampage at ElectTronex on Market Square in Uxbridge on Saturday.

Horrified onlookers watched on as she repeatedly swore at the store worker and used a racial slur.

Separate footage then shows the woman – who was wearing a black gilet, cream-coloured hoodie and a pair of black Mary Jane shoes – being handcuffed by three police officers inside the store.

Police told MailOnline a 19-year-old woman was initially detained when officers attended the scene, but wasn’t arrested after the victim said he didn’t want to press charges.

However, the force said it will speak to staff at the shop again having since seen video footage of the racist comments and threats.

She can be heard telling the worker that she is trashing the store because they ‘refused to refund her’ for a phone she bought three months ago.

The phone was reportedly new when she bought it but she now ‘needed money to buy something’ so wanted to return it.

The worker tells the woman: ‘You are making an idiot out of yourself.’

But she replies: ‘I don’t give a f*** – you should have just given me my f****** money back then, p****’

The woman then threatens to spit in the worker’s face as she asks him where her bag is.

She also said she would ‘come back to the mobile phone shop every single day’.

Members of the public and security guards blocked the woman inside the shop as the Metropolitan Police were called.

The video has been shared on TikTok and Instagram with social media users reacting with horror to the clip.

One person commented: ‘I’m speechless.’

Another said: ‘She should be made to pick everything up and put it back exactly how it was.’

Others asked: ‘How did you [the store worker] stay so calm?’

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: ‘Police were called at 1.09 on Saturday, June 8, to a shop in the Pavilions Shopping Centre in Uxbridge.

‘Officers attended and detained a 19-year-old woman who was said to have thrown items in the shop and been abusive towards staff.

‘The victim stated to the attending officers that he did not wish to provide a statement or make any criminal allegations. The woman was not arrested.

‘Officers are now aware of video subsequently published online, which includes racist comments and threats. This will be reviewed and officers will again speak with staff at the shop.’
