Eminem recently faced off with his notorious alter ego, Slim Shady, for the first time ever in a no-holds-barred conversation.
With his peroxide-cropped hair and unapologetic attitude, Slim Shady has been a long-standing figure in the Grammy-winning rapper Eminem’s career and at the centre of many of his controversies over the years.
Following the release of his album “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)”, Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, sat down with an AI-created Slim Shady in an interview with Complex.
The conversation got intense and very explicit.
Slim Shady didn’t hesitate to credit Eminem’s hugely successful career to himself.
Shady said, “Everything people think of when they think of Eminem, is f***ing yours truly.”
“We sold all that s**t off my back, bitch. Don’t get it twisted.”
“You had one era that mattered, mine… From the blonde hair to the middle finger to the f**king jokes, all of it, me.”
The older and wiser Mathers did not hold back and said that he created Slim Shady as his music was “going nowhere.”
“I invented you because my life was f—— up. My music was going nowhere and I was broke.”
Eminem further blasted his alter ego and blamed him for nearly ruining his life and career.
Eminem exclaimed, “You didn’t fix anything. You actually made that s*** worse.”
“You’re the reason I had to self-medicate. Because of you I almost lost my f***ing career, my f***ing family, my life.”
Despite their clash, Eminem’s latest album, aptly titled “The Death of Slim Shady,” has been a massive hit with fans.
The album debuted at Number One on the Billboard charts, solidifying Eminem’s status as a rap legend.
