Chelsea are reportedly absolutely adamant that they will not sell one player if a bid comes in for him this summer.

The Blues will be looking to give the best platform possible to new manager Enzo Maresca, and this includes keeping hold of some of their best players.

It is still expected that some first team stars will be sold, and recent reports have linked Conor Gallagher with a move away again after Aston Villa registered their interest.

The fact he comes from the academy provides the club a great opportunity to cash in financially, and the fact that there is only a year left on his contract does hint that he could be on the move.

However, Ben Jacobs has told GiveMeSport that this is certainly not the case when it comes to Levi Colwill, who is apparently not for sale by any means.

Chelsea wont sell Levi Colwill

He said: “He’s missed out on the EURO squad. And even though the player [Colwill], if he can’t get into the England setup – or if for whatever reason he’s not playing regularly at Chelsea under Enzo Maresca, or playing out of position – he may start to at least look at options.

“But the Chelsea stance is very much an automatic rejection at this point for summer 2024, and Liverpool know that, so they are not engaging.

“All of the noise is obviously coming from elsewhere because Liverpool are entirely focused on other targets. Again, it’s not because they don’t appreciate Colwill, it’s because they simply don’t think that anything is possible in 2024.”

Colwill a big miss at the end of last season

Colwill impressed greatly in his first campaign at the club, however did have the latter section of his season ruined by injury.

With goals beating Djordje Petrovic at a regular rate in the final weeks of the campaign, it was clear they were missing the England international at the back.

He has already been described as ‘fantastic’ by Mauricio Pochettino, and looks set to play a big role in the future under Maresca.
