Manchester United expect to tie up the £45million signing of Andre Onana next week, talkSPORT understands.
Manager Erik ten Hag wants the Inter Milan goalkeeper to join United on their upcoming pre-season tour.
Onana is a key target for the Red Devils as they look to sign a new first-choice goalkeeper ahead of the 2023/24 season.
This comes after David de Gea announced his decision to leave Man United after 12 years at the club.
Ten Hag identified Onana as the club’s primary transfer target after deciding that De Gea should be replaced.
An old player of Ten Hag during their time together at Ajax, Onana has already agreed personal terms ahead of a move to Old Trafford.
The Cameroon international made the move to the San Siro last summer after coming to the end of his contract with Dutch giants Ajax.
Since then he has really impressed, conceding just 36 goals in 41 appearances to help the club to the Champions League final where they were narrowly beaten by Manchester City in Istanbul.
