Nicolas Jackson showered Chelsea teammate Conor Gallagher with praise after Monday’s win away to Crystal Palace.
Conor Gallagher, who previously spent a year on loan with Palace, came back to haunt his old club by scoring twice in Chelsea’s 3-1 victory last night.
First, the 24-year-old midfielder equalised for the Blues with an expertly taken half volley. Afterwards, he put the Blues into the lead at Selhurst Park, this time a low finish from the edge of the box.
Speaking via ESPN after yesterday’s game, Frank Leboeuf hailed Gallagher as Chelsea’s best player across the whole Palace match.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side desperately needed that three points after back-to-back defeats in the previous two Premier League games.
Blues striker Nicolas Jackson, 22, was delighted with Gallagher following the Palace win.
In fact, he collected a booking after running from the dugout across the pitch to join in with celebrations when his side went ahead through Gallagher’s second goal.

We agree there’s more to come from Gallagher!
Will the £50,000-a-week midfielder (Spotrac) still be in Chelsea colours next season, though?
Despite being a regular starter, academy graduate and popular individual with supporters, Gallagher’s linked with a potential transfer exit.
The Telegraph has reported this afternoon that Tottenham will make a move to sign Gallagher at the end of the season if he’s still not signed a new contract by then. Apparently, there’s been no real progress between the player and the Blues when it comes to sorting a fresh deal at Stamford Bridge.
We’ll definitely be in the camp of bitterly disappointed if the box-to-box midfielder is sold in the summer.
If he can add more goals and assists to his game, Chelsea risk losing a very complete player.
