Some unnamed Premier League clubs have already made contact with Chelsea about the possibility of taking their talented youngster on loan next season.

If you look across the Chelsea ranks this year, both the first-team squad and collection of players out on loan, there’s so many young talents in the early stages of their career.

It may take some time before Mauricio Pochettino maximises the potential of these individuals, but the optimists will say the future is bright despite another slow campaign. Incidentally, the Blues currently sit seventh in the league table and are going anothter year without winning a trophy.

PL clubs target Chelsea youngster

According to a report today from The Athletic, Premier League sides are already checking out Chelsea’s Omari Hutchinson as a potential transfer target.

We’re not overly surprised given the 20-year-old playmaker has just completed a fabulous season-long loan at Ipswich Town, which finished in Championship promotion.

The report says that Ipswich would like to take Hutchinson back to Portman Road next season. They add that some other Premier League teams have already made contact with Chelsea and expressed an interest in signing the left-footed attacker, though.

Omari Hutchinson ready for top division

We definitely think Hutchinson deserves his opportunity to play in the Premier League next season. Should that be in the colours of Chelsea, Ipswich or a different top-flight club, though?

The skilful youngster looked a cut above at times this season in the Championship, finishing up with 10 goals and six assists in the league for the promoted runners-up.

Described as “brilliant” by Ipswich’s Wes Burns last September (East Anglian Daily Times), Hutchinson got stronger and stronger as the season went on. He actually scored three goals across the final three Championship matches to get the Tractor Boys over the line for promotion.
