Chelsea could be about to lose a key player to one of their Premier League rivals.
Conor Gallagher is still yet to sign a new contract at Chelsea and if he has not put pen to paper on one by the summer, Tottenham Hotspur will make a move for him, according to The Telegraph.
Losing Gallagher it is something Mauricio Pochettino will be desperate to avoid.
The Argentine described him as “priceless” yesterday after his excellent display against Crystal Palace.
Gallagher scored twice to help Chelsea come back from 1-0 down to win 3-1 at Selhurst Park. He also netted in the Blues’ 3-1 victory over Aston Villa in the FA Cup the game before.
Tottenham plotting swoop for Conor Gallagher
With the way Gallagher has played this season, he would walk into most teams right now. It is no surprise that Tottenham want to sign him in the summer.
However, Chelsea would be so silly to sell the Englishman. He is offering their side so much at present, goals, energy, leadership.

Gallagher ran 13km at Selhurst Park yesterday. Learning that really took him by surprise.
Chelsea legend Petr Cech is also backing him to become a real leader like Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt.
Honestly, at this point, we do not know what Chelsea are waiting for. They have to give him a new contract and soon. It is what he deserves.
There is nothing to suggest that Gallagher is looking for a way out of Stamford Bridge either, which just seems unlikely to happen given that he is a Chelsea boy. Losing him, then, would be an unforgivable act, especially if it is to their fiercest rivals Tottenham.
Yet as his contract continues to run down, it looks like a real possibility. If this is not sorted, we do not think Chelsea supporters are going to be too happy with Todd Boehly and the club’s other owners.
