Every player probably needs a team-mate like Chelsea defender Malo Gusto.

Malo Gusto started in Chelsea‘s 2-2 draw with Burnley last Saturday, a game where Cole Palmer once again stole all the headlines.

Palmer scored both of the Blues’ goals, taking his Premier League tally this season to 13.

The attacker has also recorded eight assists, showing just how effective he has been in the final third.

Before his second goal against the Clarets, Gusto did something interesting, showing just how much faith he has in his team-mate at the moment. Palmer is now being tipped to win the PFA Young Player of the Year award.

What Malo Gusto did before Cole Palmer’s second goal against Burnley

It is fair to say that Gusto has a lot of belief in Palmer.

Before the England international had even buried the ball in the net to put Chelsea 2-1 up, his team-mate was seen with his arms in the air, practically celebrating after seeing him go through on goal.

Palmer has been so clinical this season, explaining Gusto’s confidence in him.

If the rest of this Chelsea team had been as efficient as the former Manchester City man, they would probably not be in the mess that they are currently in.

Malo Gusto should also be in contention for PFA Young Player of the Year award

Palmer has to be the standout candidate to win the PFA Young Player of the Year award and probably will claim the accolade.

Gusto, however, should also be included on the list of nominees. A 20-year-old playing in England for the first time, he has done exceptionally well this season.

His five assists in 21 Premier League games is pretty impressive for a full-back.

Gusto had to be taken off in the draw with Burnley, which would have worried Chelsea fans, but Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that he will be fit for the United game tomorrow in a huge boost for the team.
