Starting talks with German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen to guarantee the transfer of Nigerian forward Victor Boniface, Al Nassr Football Club is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, January 27, 2025. With the expected departure of Anderson Talisca, this move is intended to enhance Al Nassr’s attacking lineup.
Born in Akure, Nigeria, on December 23, 2000, Victor Boniface started his football career with Real Sapphire FC. He joined Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt in 2019 and helped to win their Eliteserien crowns in 2020 and 2021. Boniface became the joint top scorer in the 2022-23 UEFA Europa League with six goals when he joined the Belgian team Union Saint-Gilloise in 2022. A transfer to Bayer Leverkusen in July 2023 resulted from his remarkable shows. Playing a crucial part in Leverkusen’s Bundesliga title victory in the 2023-24 season, Boniface kept to excel.

Boniface captures Al Nassr’s interest in their quest to find a proper mate for Cristiano Ronaldo in the attacking front. Bayer Leverkusen could weigh offers starting from €50 million for the Nigerian forward, reports suggest.
Boniface has previously stated a wish to keep his European career. He said in a September 2024 interview, ” No, not now; I am not considering a move to Saudi Arabia. Europe already offers me significant financial benefits in my line of work. We will consider it when the occasion for significant money arrives. Let’s not be fooled by this.
