Chelsea are reportedly one of several clubs interested in signing a 26-year-old star from a Premier League club.
In terms of the recent January transfer window, it was a fairly quiet one for incomings at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea did recall the likes of Trevoh Chalobah, Aaron Anselmino and David Datro Fofana from their respective loans. The only new signing for the Blues was the purchase of Mathis Amougou from Saint-Etienne on deadline day.
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca is ‘very happy’ with the current squad as he looks to finish strongly during his first season in charge.

Chelsea interested in popular Premier League player
According to TBR Football, Chelsea are one of five teams interested in signing Liverpool’s Caoimhin Kelleher at the end of the season.
Apparently, the 26-year-old goalkeeper is expected to leave the current Premier League leaders in the summer as the Reds are prepared to sell him.
The report claims that Chelsea are joined by Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and Celtic as suitors for the Republic of Ireland international.
Earlier in the season, Darren Bent suggested Chelsea should sign Liverpool’s Kelleher to help them with their goalkeeper problem. Similarly, Jason Cundy urged the Blues to go after Kelleher in the transfer market.
Even though Kelleher’s the second-choice keeper at Anfield behind Alisson Becker, his reputation has grown significantly in the last couple of years with top displays whenever he plays.

Should Chelsea sign a new goalkeeper?
Without a doubt, Chelsea are still on the search to find their long-term number one. They do have so many goalkeepers on their books right now, but it does feel like they need to go out and sign yet another shot-stopper in their search to find a world-class gloveman.
Robert Sanchez has just lost his starting position in-between the sticks for Chelsea for a second consecutive year, so it continues to be a problem area of the pitch.
If the Blues ramp up interest in Kelleher, he would be a really intriguing target. The fact that he looks so composed whenever he represents Liverpool is a sign he would definitely be an upgrade in West London.
Asmir Begovic described Kelleher as “phenomenal” last year (BBC Sport) after helping Liverpool beat Chelsea in the League Cup final.
At this moment in time, we would be in favour of Kelleher starting at Chelsea over any of the other alternatives.
