Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has been loyal to his first team players this season as they push to finish in the top four this season.
A number of players have lifted their game under the new boss. Midfield duo Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo are playing their best football since making the move to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have been dominant in the majority of fixtures this season, however a recent run of five without a win in the Premier League saw a culmination of missed chances and soft goals conceded.
Fingers were pointed at Robert Sanchez for a number of those moments, and the same happened on Monday night despite the win over Wolves.

Chelsea chiefs disagree with Enzo Maresca over Robert Sanchez
The boss has been extremely loyal to the Spaniard this season by starting him in near enough every league game. Maresca’s comments after that game were very defensive of Sanchez.
Despite having the manager’s backing, it seems this is not the case amongst the decision makers at Stamford Bridge.
Graeme Bailey has told The Chelsea Chronicle that some chiefs at the club do not have faith in Sanchez to take them to the top, and they are considering options including Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki.
He said: “Chelsea are looking at him. One of many who are. He’s a special player. Parma know good goalkeepers when they see one, and they’ve got one here. Fantastic talent, he could go for big money in the summer.
“I know what everyone’s saying, but Chelsea are looking at goalkeepers. I can confirm their scouts are looking at goalkeepers. Work is being done.
“There’s people in Chelsea’s hierarchy that are not convinced Sanchez will deliver a Premier League title.”

Who is Zion Suzuki?
After the legendary impact of Gianluigi Buffon, you have to be a seriously talented goalkeeper at Parma to be recognised as talented, and Suzuki certainly fits this bill.
While clean sheets have been hard to come by in a struggling Serie A side, this is not at the fault of the Japan international, whose stats are very impressive this season.
Zion Suzuki 24/25 stats | Total |
Appearances | 20 |
Saves | 63 |
High Claims | 30 |
Accurate long balls | 115 |
Goals prevented | 1.91 |
One area Suzuki seems to specialise is in his long passing, an area that Chelsea fans have noticed is a weakness in the game of Sanchez.
