Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho got a lot of Chelsea supporters talking on social media on Sunday.
The 20-year-old was a target for the Blues during the January transfer window. It was claimed that Chelsea seriously considered signing Alejandro Garnacho on deadline day.
In the end, though, Garnacho remained at Manchester United and started in their 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
It is fair to say that Chelsea fans were not impressed with what they saw from the Argentina international.

Chelsea fans in disbelief after Alejandro Garnacho miss
Tottenham went into an early lead after James Maddison scored in the 13th minute, but Garnacho had a great opportunity to equalise 10 minutes later.
However, the United wide man fluffed his lines and fired well over the cross bar, leaving some Chelsea fans in utter disbelief.
One Chelsea supporter wrote on X: “Garnacho literally missed this. This is a 5/5 goal for any average winger.”
Another said: “Can’t believe I shouted goal before Garnacho’s clear shot at goal and he fumbled it.”
One Chelsea fan asked: “How on earth did Garnacho miss this?!”
And another said practically the same, posting: “Garnacho are you mad? How on earth can u miss that?”
Garnacho was not the only left winger Chelsea were interested in last month. It had been reported that Chelsea also looked at Mathys Tel, who was in Spurs’ starting line-up on Sunday.

Alejandro Garnacho’s dismal conversion rate
Garnacho’s miss against Tottenham was not the first time that he has wasted a good opportunity this season.
In fact, according to Opta, Garnacho has had 14 big chances in the current campaign but has only converted two of them, giving him a conversion rate of just 14%.
You can see why some Chelsea fans do not want him anywhere near the club. But Garnacho is still just 20 so has time to work on his finishing, while the former Atletico Madrid academy player does have some good attributes.
He is good at carrying the ball, for example, making 5.71 progressive carries per 90 over the last year, as per FBref. But it is clear that Chelsea supporters want more than that, which is understandable, given that they already have wingers who do not score enough goals.
This term, Jadon Sancho has only netted twice in the Premier League, while Pedro Neto is also on two goals.
