A lot of talk as far as departures goes in the January transfer window with Chelsea has usually been with players leaving on loan.
Whether it be because the club sees a future for them at Stamford Bridge or just unable to find a permanent suitor for out of favour players midway through the season, it looks as if transfer fees will be hard to come by in January.
Renato Veiga has already completed his loan move to Juventus, where he hopes that he can play centre-back for the remainder of the season.
Despite the club briefing the Portugal defender is in their plans for the future, it has been predicted to The Chelsea Chronicle that Veiga’s career at Stamford Bridge could be over.

Chelsea decide not to loan out Omari Kellyman in January
Another player signed in the summer with high hopes for the future is Omari Kellyman, however his first campaign in West London has been interrupted by injuries.
The 19-year-old has managed just two appearances in Premier League 2 for the Under 21s this season, with a hamstring issue plaguing him since the summer.
It was originally reported that Chelsea were looking to loan Kellyman out for the rest of the campaign, however Bobby Vincent has now stated the club believe he is best off recovering from his current injury at Cobham.

He said: “Understand it is now very unlikely Omari Kellyman leaves Chelsea on loan between now and next week’s deadline. Initial plan was for the club to send the 19yo on loan this month but his recovery from injury has been longer than anticipated.
“Kellyman still recovering from a serious hamstring injury he suffered in the summer. Club feel it’s best for the midfielder to continue his recovery at Cobham.”
What position will Kellyman play when fit for Chelsea?
Despite being nowhere near first team football so far for the Blues, the £19m fee they spent on Kellyman suggests there is a plan for him to play a part in the future.
When asked after signing, Kellyman told the Chelsea YouTube channel that his best role is playing in the number 10.
He said: “Attacking midfield, definitely! As a 10. Sitting behind the striker, looking to get goals and assists.
“I’d say I’m forward thinking, attacking, just try to be positive and bring energy to the game.”
Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku are currently realising how difficult starring in that position is at Chelsea, with Cole Palmer dominating the minutes in that role.
