The good performances of a couple of Chelsea loanees this season have not gone under the radar.
Chelsea have several players out on loan currently, including the likes of Djordje Petrovic, Andrey Santos and Joao Felix.
Felix has struggled at AC Milan, scoring just one goal since arriving at the club in February, but Petrovic and Santos are thriving at Strasbourg.
They have been key players for Liam Rosenior and have gained plenty of recognition for their displays in France.

Djordje Petrovic and Gianluigi Donnarumma nominated for Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Season award
In European football right now, Petrovic has been rated as the best goalkeeper by WhoScored, and he could soon be officially named as the best goalkeeper in Ligue 1 by the National Union of Professional Footballers (UNFP) in France.
Following his impressive season at Strasbourg, Petrovic has been nominated for the Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Season award, with Paris Saint-Germain’s Gianluigi Donnarumma also making the shortlist.
He is having a much better campaign compared to Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen at Chelsea, though the former was able to put in an excellent performance against Everton last weekend.
Peter Crouch praised Sanchez after that game and claimed that he actually has the ability to be the Blues’ long-term No.1.
But after all of the mistakes that he has made this season, Chelsea supporters will not be too convinced. And the same applies to Jorgensen.

How Djordje Petrovic and Gianluigi Donnarumma compare
If Petrovic is crowned as the top goalkeeper in France ahead of Donnarumma, it would probably be deserved. In Ligue 1, the former has outperformed the latter.
Petrovic has played five more games than his rival, but he has a higher save percentage and clean sheet percentage than him.
Player | Games | Save percentage | Clean sheets | Clean sheet percentage |
Djordje Petrovic | 28 | 80.1% | 10 | 35.7% |
Gianluigi Donnarumma | 23 | 68.1% | 4 | 17.4% |
Of course, Donnarumma has been performing at a high level for much longer than Petrovic and has done it on the biggest stage. It was only Tuesday when the Italy international put in a fine display against Arsenal in the first leg of PSG’s Champions League semi-final tie.
But the fact that you can even compare the two right now is a really good sign for Chelsea.
