Chelsea are seemingly getting desperate in their attempts to part ways with some first team players before the end of the January transfer window.
One of those individuals is Carney Chukwuemeka, who has hardly featured since Enzo Maresca took over as manager of the club.
After starting the first game of the 2023/24 season and looking like he had an important role, the youngster has just one start to his name during this campaign.

Chelsea make U-turn and allow Carney Chukwuemeka to leave on loan in January
That came in the freezing conditions when they faced Astana in the Conference League, and Chukwuemeka failed to take his chance to impress amongst a host of youngsters that night.
It has been reported for some time that Chelsea were open to the midfielder’s exit this month, however continued to insist on his release clause being paid in full.
While it looks as if no one is going to bite on that fee, the Blues have now changed their stance in an effort to see him leave this month.
Graeme Bailey has exclusively told The Chelsea Chronicle that they are now open to Chukwuemeka being loaned away, with interest in his services growing.
He said: “From what we are told Chelsea are ready to listen to offers for Chukwuemeka…their demands for £40million were never realistic, hence the lack of interest.
“They are ready to move him on, but to do so they are going to have to let him go in some sort of loan deal. That has now become apparent and interest is now growing.
“Juve are one of those who like him a lot and they are looking at possibly replacing Douglas Luiz with him, which could be a very good move for Chukwuemeka.”

Interest in signing Chukwuemeka on loan
It has been reported that as many as six clubs are keen on taking Chukwuemeka on loan for the rest of this season.
There is Premier League interest in bringing him in too. Ipswich Town reportedly asked about Chukwuemeka during talks regarding Liam Delap going the other way.
Maresca is notably a big fan of Delap, although his side are desperate to keep hold of him in an attempt to maintain their place in the top flight.
