Chelsea could have an opportunity to make some quick profit on one of the players they signed last summer.
Quite a few of Chelsea‘s signings from the previous transfer window are already being linked with moves away from the club.
For example, there is talk about Renato Veiga potentially joining Marseille this month despite having only arrived at Stamford Bridge last July.
However, the Portuguese is not the only summer recruit who is attracting interest during this transfer window.
AC Milan interested in Tosin Adarabioyo
Tosin Adarabioyo has probably been one of Chelsea’s more successful signings from the last transfer window.
Adarabioyo has made 18 appearances in all competitions this season and has even managed to score a few goals. Yet there seems to be a possibility of him leaving the club this month.
According to TEAMtalk, AC Milan are interested in signing the central defender, while reports elsewhere have claimed that Brighton are also keen on Adarabioyo.
Having brought him in on a free transfer, it could be a great chance for Todd Boehly and the club to make some profit. But they should think twice before sanctioning a sale.
Tosin Adarabioyo a very useful player for Chelsea
Right now, Chelsea have problems in central defence, with Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile both out injured.
Adarabioyo is not a bad player to come in and fill in for the former, who was Levi Colwill’s central defensive partner before his injury.
The 27-year-old is experienced, familiar with the Premier League after making 88 appearances in the competition and is a great height at 6’5″.
Enzo Maresca has also praised Adarabioyo’s leadership qualities, saying: “He is one of the leaders in the dressing room. We are very delighted and very happy with him.”
All in all, at a time where Chelsea need central defenders, they should not be selling Adarabioyo. The former Fulham man is not the best centre-back out there, but he is still a good one who can offer much to this very young and inexperienced Chelsea squad.
