One Chelsea attacker is attracting a lot of interest during this transfer window, with the Blues making their stance on him clear.
It could be a very busy end to the January transfer window for Chelsea, who recently recalled Trevoh Chalobah from his loan at Crystal Palace.
There could be several exits as French duo Christopher Nkunku and Axel Disasi continue to be linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge. Disasi has caught the attention of more than one club this month.
One player who looks unlikely to leave west London, though, is teenager Tyrique George.
Chelsea receive loan offers for Tyrique George
George has impressed for Chelsea this season after breaking into Enzo Maresca‘s first team, and it looks like that has not gone unnoticed.
According to journalist Simon Phillips, George has been the subject of multiple loan offers this month.
He wrote on his Substack Si Phillips Talks Chelsea: “First of all, we are hearing that Tyrique George has received a host of loan offers this month to spend the second half of the season developing and playing senior football.”
George put in a really good performance against Morecambe in the FA Cup as he helped Chelsea to beat the League Two side 5-0.
Are Chelsea open to loaning Tyrique George out?
Right now, Chelsea do not seem prepared to let George leave the club on loan, though that could change if a new winger arrives before February’s deadline.
Speaking about George’s situation further, Phillips said: “We are at the moment waiting on the names of the clubs interested, but SPTC sources have said that at this moment he is not expected to go, but something could materialise towards the end of the window as Chelsea do look at new left wingers.”
If another club do manage to convince Chelsea to loan out George, then they will be getting a very talented young player.
When former Chelsea U21 manager Mark Robinson spoke about George last season, he described him as “very creative”.
For now, it is probably better for Chelsea to keep hold of George, with it not being clear what is going to happen with Mykhailo Mudryk.
But if they learn his fate soon and sign another left winger, for example, then it may make sense for the 18-year-old to join another team temporarily where he can get plenty of game time and continue his development.
