As Chelsea prepare for life back amongst Europe’s elite, the board will have a number of headaches to solve throughout the summer transfer window.
12 months ago, the Blues were unable to move as many players on as they would have hoped. The likes of Ben Chilwell remained at Stamford Bridge despite never being in Enzo Maresca’s plans.
This saw the formation of the ‘bomb squad’, players who were not really wanted but had the chance to get minutes in the first half of the season in the Conference League.
With that unlikely to be the case now Champions League football is back in West London, Todd Boehly and his board are going to have a number of players they need to move on in order to continue to build their squad.

Chelsea set to sell more than 10 first team players
The number is large, but Chelsea are reportedly confident that they can get the job done. According to The Athletic, there is optimism at the club that they can move on more than 10 first team stars in the summer.
Gabriel Agbonlahor has already told Chelsea to sell Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku as they prepare to take the next step in their project.
Felix endured a nightmare loan spell at AC Milan, with them no longer a candidate to bring him in on a permanent deal in the next few months.

Who could Chelsea sell this summer?
From head to toe, Chelsea are planning to move players on this summer. Kepa Arrizabalaga is expected to finally depart permanently after boosting his prospects again at Bournemouth.
Most of the players out on loan last summer are likely to be available this summer. This includes Axel Disasi, Carney Chukwuemeka, Raheem Sterling and Chilwell.
Many expected Renato Veiga to join that list after he forced his way out of the club in January to seek regular minutes at centre-back.
However, Chelsea are expecting Veiga to remain at Stamford Bridge, with an opportunity to compete for minutes with Levi Colwill likely as Benoit Badiashile continues to crop up as a target around Europe.
