Chelsea may have to wait until the summer to sign one player who is thought to be high on their shortlist.
Chelsea‘s priority for what is left of the January transfer window seems to be bringing in a new attacker.
They have been heavily linked with Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho, who could leave Old Trafford this month. It has been reported that Garnacho is currently more likely to depart United than stay there.
Chelsea are also said to have Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi on their radar.

Karim Adeyemi does not want move in this transfer window
Chelsea have reportedly held talks about signing Adeyemi from Dortmund.
Enzo Maresca‘s attack has looked a bit stale of late, so perhaps it could do with some reinvigorating.
However, the Blues will not be able to sign Adeyemi until the summer, with the 23-year-old not looking to leave Germany at this moment in time.
When journalist Melissa Reddy spoke about Adeyemi on Sky Sports amid interest from Napoli, she said: “The other issue Napoli have is the alternative target, Karim Adeyemi, doesn’t want to leave Dortmund. He only wants a summer move.”

Karim Adeyemi has shown his potential in the Champions League
Adeyemi is yet to develop into a truly prolific attacker. This season, the German has scored just two goals in the Bundesliga, while in the previous campaign he only managed three.
In one Champions League game against Celtic, though, Adeyemi was absolutely devastating.
The Germany international scored a hat-trick and registered one assist as Dortmund went on to thrash the Scottish champions 7-1.
Adeyemi, then, clearly has potential, though this young Chelsea side probably needs more players who have firmly established themselves in the game.
Landing the Dortmund winger will not be simple. Premier League rivals Liverpool are also thought to be interested in Adeyemi.
Should Chelsea go on to sign Garnacho from United, however, you would expect their interest in Adeyemi to cool. The former Red Bull Salzburg man is a very versatile attacker but spent the majority of last term on the left flank.
