Chelsea are running out of time to complete any signings they feel will boost their chances of finishing this season strong as part of the January transfer window.
Numerous top-quality names have been thrown around as players the Blues could bring in to immediately boost their chances of finishing in the top four this season.
However, the deal reports are stating Chelsea are closest to completing is one that is more likely to impact them in years to come, revolving around Brazilian youngster Denner.

Corinthians president wowed at Chelsea’s offer for Denner
The cousin of Arsenal’s Gabriel, the 16-year-old has been making a real impact on the youth sides at Corinthians as he starts his inevitable rise up the ranks.
It was claimed yesterday that Chelsea were set for a meeting that would see them sign Denner, although he wouldn’t join up with the Blues until 2026.
Corinthians president Augusto Melo has been speaking about a proposal which has come his way for the left-back, and told Meu Timao that the offer they had recieved was extremely attractive.
He said: “There is a proposal that is interesting for us. It’s 8 million euros, and then there is another value of €500,000 for every five games. It will be more than €15m, it’s a wonderful sale.
“For a 16-year-old boy who hasn’t yet stepped into the professional ranks and has two years to play for Corinthians, it’s a wonderful sale.”

Denner to cost much less than his release clause
It has been reported by Vamo Futebol that Denner had a release clause far higher than the fee reported to be agreed between Chelsea and Corinthians.
This was a fee that was for European clubs, with the total being far less for any side in Brazil to sign him.
The report goes on to say that Denner’s side were happy to negotiate the fee down after Chelsea’s interest in order to stop him moving to a rival side.
Chelsea will no doubt be excited about their future prospects in the left-back position, especially in the same transfer window that they lost Renato Veiga on loan to Juventus.
