Enzo Maresca has the chance to get a look at a number of new Chelsea players when his side get their Club World Cup campaign underway against LAFC.
Liam Delap is expected to make his debut, with supporters excited to see if the club have found the solution to their goalscoring woes.
The manager will have been hoping to have more big-name signings in the squad before they travelled to the United States, however they missed out on moves for Jamie Gittens and Mike Maignan.
Maresca hinted Chelsea will sign a winger, however until then any new faces that Blues fans get the chance to see are going to be youngsters.
Andrey Santos must start for Chelsea vs LAFC in Club World Cup
One of those available to them this summer is Andrey Santos, following his excellent season on loan at BlueCo sister club Strasbourg.
Romeo Lavia proved Chelsea players were excited by Santos and the chance to play with him, and Maresca must make the Club World Cup opener the moment where he is unleashed.
Santos said he believes he plays best at the base of midfield, however he could take the role of any of Lavia, Moises Caicedo or Enzo Fernandez when required next season.
Maresca must go back on previous mistake
Maresca decided that the Brazil international needed another campaign on loan away from Stamford Bridge last season after getting a look at him during pre-season.
This proved to backfire on the club, with Lavia missing the majority of the campaign due to injuries that have not left him alone since his move to West London.
The workload on Fernandez and Caicedo was high, and with the magnitude of European games going up next season, they cannot risk losing one of their best players to overuse injury.
There were calls to recall Santos in January, however the Blues held firm and allowed him to continue his development in Ligue 1. Now, Chelsea must take the opportunity and reap their own rewards, starting at the Club World Cup.
