Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is a huge fan of one player at Stamford Bridge but could watch him depart in this transfer window.

Things are quiet right now, but there will be exits at Chelsea. The likes of Joao Felix, Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell have all been deemed surplus to requirements.

The trio are not part of the Blues’ Club World Cup squad, with Chilwell now being linked with a move to Italy. It has been claimed that Lazio are interested in signing Chilwell this summer.

There are also players who are part of Enzo Maresca‘s group who could leave west London, though.

Enzo Maresca likes Noni Madueke’s profile

During the week, it was reported that Chelsea would accept a suitable offer for Noni Madueke amid links to Arsenal.

Ben Jacobs is not ruling out a Chelsea exit, but the journalist says the winger is a player who is appreciated by Maresca.

Discussing Madueke‘s situation on talkSPORT, Jacobs said: “Enzo Maresca really likes the profile of Noni Madueke, so I don’t think Chelsea are really putting Madueke up for sale. But if the right price and suitor comes along, there might be an opportunity.”

Chelsea will have to sign another wide man before they even contemplate accepting a bid for Madueke.

The 23-year-old, Pedro Neto and Tyrique George are the only natural wingers currently in Maresca’s squad.

Chelsea are interested in Jamie Gittens, but the Conference League winners are struggling to reach an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for the player’s signature.

Former Arsenal winger criticises Noni Madueke

While Madueke is being linked with a move to the Emirates, Perry Groves does not like the sound of the England international potentially joining Arsenal.

For the ex-Arsenal winger, Madueke is simply not a good fit for Mikel Arteta’s side. Speaking to Jacobs on talkSPORT, he said: “He doesn’t fit Mikel Arteta’s profile. He doesn’t work hard enough off the ball. His recovery runs aren’t intense enough. Arsenal don’t have any lazy players, and I don’t think he fits that remit whatsoever.”

Napoli are also said to be interested in his services, and it was claimed earlier this month that their sporting director Giovanni Manna discovered that Madueke would cost £50m after holding discussions with intermediaries.

It would see Chelsea make a hefty profit on the former PSV Eindhoven man after signing him for just £29m in 2023.
