Chelsea fans have only got more excited about the future of Estevao Willian after seeing him in action at the Club World Cup for Palmeiras.
He will not take part in the competition for the Blues due to an agreement with the Brazilian side, and Estevao put in a player of the match performance as they showed their class against Porto.
As Palmeiras won their first game of the tournament against Al Ahly, Brazilian media praised Estevao for his performance.
With a place in the knockout stages of the competition very much in their hands, Enzo Maresca will be given more opportunities to take a look at the winger before he joins up with the Chelsea squad in preparation for the new season.
Estevao Willian sends message to Chelsea fans ahead of move
Cole Palmer has stated he is excited to play alongside the wonderkid, and it seems as if the feeling is mutual ahead of his arrival.
In a rare interview given in English to DAZN, the teenager sent a message to Chelsea fans who have been full of support for him in the United States.
He simply said: “Chelsea fans. See you soon.”
While a number of top young players such as Kendry Paez and Mike Penders look set to go on loan next season, the same does not look like it will be the case for the winger.
Estevao’s 2025 Chelsea status
Estevao is set to be part of the first team squad next season, after wowing in the Brazilian league. His performances have also seen him become a full Brazil international.
