Galatasaray supporters issued a heartfelt appeal to Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, urging him to remain at the club beyond his loan spell, following their title clinching 3–0 victory over Kayserispor on Saturday, May 18, 2025.
In a powerful moment before kickoff at Rams Park, fans unveiled a massive two panel tifo displaying Osimhen in Galatasaray colours, alongside the words: “Stay with us Osimhen – not because you have to, but because you want to.”
The emotional display comes amid growing speculation over Osimhen’s next move.
Still contracted to Napoli, the striker’s loan deal with Galatasaray expires this summer.
European heavyweights including Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal, as well as Saudi side Al Hilal, have all been linked with a summer transfer. Napoli are reportedly holding out for the €75 million release clause in his contract.
Osimhen has had a record breaking season in Turkey, scoring 36 goals and providing 8 assists in 40 matches – the highest ever tally by a foreign player in a single campaign for Galatasaray. He played a pivotal role in delivering both the Süper Lig and Turkish Cup titles.
Speaking in a post match interview after Saturday’s win, Osimhen said:
“I don’t know what will happen next season. I am not thinking about the future; I am enjoying the moment. I am very happy it is truly a wonderful feeling to enter the history of Galatasaray.”
