Chelsea once again appear to be interested in Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran after trying to sign him last summer.
At one point, it was claimed that Chelsea had even agreed a deal to sign Jhon Duran from Aston Villa.
In the end, though, nothing happened and the 21-year-old remained at Villa. The Blues could make another move for him, but they face competition from Paris Saint-Germain.
And PSG look like they have a trick up their sleeve in their bid to win the race for Duran.

PSG willing to offer Aston Villa players for Jhon Duran
Earlier this week, it was claimed that Chelsea had made contact with Duran’s agent to see if the Colombian is available.
If he is, signing him will not be a straightforward task for the Blues. That is because of interest from PSG.
According to CaughtOffside, the French club are open to offering players to Villa as part of a deal to sign Duran.
Their report states that Marco Asensio is one name that PSG are prepared to hand over.

Nicolas Jackson’s form exposing Chelsea’s need for Jhon Duran
At one point, it did not look like Chelsea needed Duran. Nicolas Jackson started the season on fire, while Christopher Nkunku is great alternative to the Senegal international on paper.
However, Jackson is no longer scoring, failing to net in his last seven Premier League outings. As for Nkunku, he could leave Stamford Bridge before the January transfer window closes.
Manchester United have contacted Chelsea about signing Nkunku, so Enzo Maresca may not be able to count on him after the deadline.
Considering all of the above, the Blues need another centre-forward, with Duran proving this season that he is capable of doing a job.
As per Transfermarkt, in 602 minutes of Premier League football, Duran has scored seven goals. He has been clinical, scoring seven times despite having an xG of 5.82 (via WhoScored).
He could be a great asset to Chelsea, but PSG’s interest complicates things for the Blues.
