Chelsea supporters must be counting down the days until Estevao Willian is in their squad.
Chelsea confirmed in June 2024 that Estevao Willian will be joining them from Palmeiras in the summer of 2025, so fans have been closely watching his progress.
At the age of 17, Estevao is already the talisman for Brazilian club Palmeiras. The teenage right-winger is showing the type of potential and quality that suggests he can be a major star when he arrives at Stamford Bridge in a few months time.
Chelsea are so excited about Estevao because they think they’ve hit the jackpot with him.
The Brazil international continues to shine on the football pitch, including in his latest appearance last night.

On Thursday night, Palmeiras kickstarted the Copa Libertadores with a 3-2 victory away to Peruvian club Sporting Cristal.
Chelsea signing Estevao opened the scoring for Palmeiras with a simple finish inside the box during the first half. He was one of the brightest sparks during his team’s victory, too.
Overall, Brazilian media reacted extremely positively to Estevao’s latest individual display.
Globo wrote: “Estevao – 7/10: Even though he held onto the ball too much at times, he was once again Palmeiras’ most dangerous player. He missed a great chance, but redeemed himself in the sequence, with the goal that opened the scoring.”
It’s yet another goal for Estevao in first-team football, scoring 21 times in 62 senior appearances in Palmeiras colours.
Chelsea winger Jadon Sancho has been urged to shoot more. In contrast, Estevao is never afraid to pull the trigger when he gets anywhere near the goal, proving time and time again that he’s got a wand of a left foot.

Estevao Willian creates the most chances in Palmeiras win
Estevao created three chances in the Palmeiras victory this week, the most of any player in the game (FOTMOB). In fact, his overall statistics from the contest were quite encourager.
Minutes played | Goals | Total shots | Big chances missed | Chances created | Accurate passes | Accurate crosses | Corners | Match rating |
90 | 1 | 4 | 1 | 3 | 21/25 (84%) | 2/9 (22%) | 6 | 7.0 |
It’s no great surprise that Estevao ranks second on NXGN’s list of the world’s very best youngsters right now.
Of course, the challenge will be for the South American rising star to replicate his form when he arrives in the English football. Based off what he’s shown in his career so far, it would be very brave to doubt him.
