Kelechi Iheanacho has returned to Sevilla following the expiration of his loan deal with English Championship side Middlesbrough.
The Nigerian forward joined Boro on a six- month loan in January.
During his time in England, Iheanacho operated primarily as a second striker, forming an attacking partnership with Tommy Conway.
He made 15 league appearances, registering one goal and two assists.
Middlesbrough confirmed his departure in an official statement, which read:
“The loans of Mark Travers, Ryan Giles, Kelechi Iheanacho, Sammy Iling-Junior, and Ben Doak have all concluded, and those players will return to their parent clubs.”
Now back at Sevilla, Iheanacho will be hoping to rediscover his best form as he looks to make a strong impression on the club’s manager Joaquín Caparrós ahead of the new season.
