Manchester United’s Sekou Kone is set to return from injury in a U21 match against Aston Villa, easing concerns about his fitness.
Manchester: So, Sekou Kone is back in action for Manchester United’s Under-21s against Aston Villa this Saturday. He last played on November 12 but had to leave early due to a minor injury.
That day, he got hurt after a tough challenge and was seen leaving on crutches with a protective boot. Thankfully, the injury turned out to be less serious than they first thought.
He’s set to play in a behind-closed-doors match at Carrington, kicking off at 2 PM. Unfortunately, fans won’t be able to watch it on MUTV because of broadcasting rules.
Everyone’s hoping to see more of Kone as the season goes on. He showed some real talent against Huddersfield, but he’s still adjusting to the physical demands of English football.
United is taking their time with him, which is smart. Kone joined from Malian club Guidars FC for about £1 million, and the pace here is a whole different ball game.
His passing skills were impressive, but he did struggle a bit as the game went on. He’s been training with the first team, but most of his time has been with the U21s, where he can grow and develop.
