Noni Madueke has admitted his delight that he shares the dressing room at Chelsea with one “special” player.
The Chelsea squad is stacked with a lot of exciting young talent, and Noni Madueke fits into that category.
Even though there’s plenty of competition for places, the 23-year-old winger is making a key contribution. He’s scored 11 goals and created five assists in 37 games across all competitions this season.
Noni Madueke hasn’t enjoyed playing left wing in the past couple of Premier League matches because he usually operates from the right flank, but he’s proven he can be a threat on both sides.
Noni Madueke waxed lyrical about Cole Palmer
Madueke has delivered a glowing verdict on Chelsea teammate Cole Palmer, claiming he’s a “special” player.
The 23-year-old central playmaker reminded everyone of his star quality in last Sunday’s 3-1 Premier League win against Liverpool, where he ended a run of 18 games across all competitions without a goal.
When asked if Palmer was relieved about ending his goal drought, Madueke told talkSPORT: “I wouldn’t say he was relieved. He hasn’t been stressing about it that much. If you look at his games, he’s been playing very well. He’s always going to score goals he’s a goalscorer. It was great for him to get that first one after a while.
“He’s obviously special. It’s obvious. It’s clear for all to see. I’m really happy that he plays in our team.”
Gary Neville was left in awe of Cole Palmer after his individual display last weekend against Liverpool. The attacking midfielder answered some recent criticism regarding his form with a stunning performance against the new league champions.
Michael Owen insists Cole Palmer doesn’t feel the pressure despite being the talisman in the Blues team.
We agree that the England international is a special individual on a football pitch, so he was never going to stay quiet for too long.

Cole Palmer record vs Newcastle
On Sunday, Chelsea travel to St James’ Park to face Newcastle United, which is a massive fixture in the top-five race to secure Champions League qualification.
Hopefully, Palmer goes into the weekend showdown with an extra spring in his step because the team desperately needs him.
Blues supporters will enjoy seeing that he’s got a decent record against Eddie Howe’s side.
