Nottingham Forest manager, Nuno Espírito Santo has confirmed that Super Eagles full-back Ola Aina will undergo a scan to determine the extent of his injury after being forced off in Tuesday’s victory over Manchester United at the City Ground.
Aina appeared to suffer a calf problem in the first half and required medical attention on the pitch.
Despite his efforts to continue, the RB was unable to carry on and he was substituted in the 36th minute, with Alex Moreno taking his place.
The 28-year-old left the stadium in crutches, raising concerns about a potential spell on the sidelines.
While reacting to the player’s injury, Espírito Santo acknowledged that only scan results would provide clarity.

“We have to assess. It is always a concern when a player gets injured by himself,” the Portuguese tactician told Nottinghamshire Live.
“He is going to have a scan and we will see how it is. We’re not quite sure what it is, only the scan will say exactly.

Meanwhile, Aina has made 30 league appearances this season, scoring twice and playing a crucial role in Forest’s defensive solidity.
Ola Aina’s absence would be a significant blow to the team’s ambitions, and the club will be hoping for positive news from his upcoming scan.
