Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo is fired up for his side’s last game of the season against Chelsea.

Victory against Chelsea could see Forest finish in the top five and qualify for the Champions League next term.

A win for Chelsea will guarantee them a spot in Europe’s elite competition, with the Blues having a much better goal difference than Aston Villa.

Chelsea were able to beat Manchester United last time out thanks to a Marc Cucurella header. After the game, Cucurella lauded teammate Reece James, who set up his winning goal.

Nuno Espirito Santo warns Chelsea City Ground will be ‘bouncing’

Forest are at home on Sunday and are going to take advantage of that, according to Nuno.

The Portuguese expects Forest’s famous City Ground to be “bouncing” when Chelsea arrive, which could make the game an extremely difficult one for Enzo Maresca‘s men.

Speaking to Sky Sports following his side’s 2-1 win against West Ham United over the weekend, Nuno said: “The City Ground is another big boost for us. It’s going to be bouncing and helping us, but we’re going to fight, we’re going to fight.

“And we’re going to face a very good team full of talent, but it’s the final game, it’s the final game. Let’s give it a go.”

Chelsea will be desperate for the three points and to qualify for the Champions League, as it could help them to land some of their transfer targets this summer.

It has already been reported that it may take Champions League football to sign Eberechi Eze following Crystal Palace’s FA Cup success.

Chelsea have identified Eze as a target ahead of the transfer window as they look to bolster their frontline.

What Enzo Maresca has said about Nottingham Forest tie

For Chelsea boss Maresca, all his side can try to do is win the game, which may be easier said than done.

Forest managed to hold Chelsea to a draw earlier this season, with that match at Stamford Bridge finishing 1-1.

Speaking ahead of their next battle, Maresca told Chelsea’s official website: “We need to be focused, prepare the game in the best way, and try to win the last game.”

If things do not go to plan for the Blues, they will not have too long to cry about it. Chelsea still have to play the Conference League final against Real Betis the following week.
