Cole Palmer is showing no signs of slowing down as his form in Chelsea colours continues to light up the Premier League.
Chelsea signed Cole Palmer from Manchester City in the summer window of 2023. In 69 Blues appearances across all competitions, he’s scored 39 goals and created 21 assists.
The 22-year-old attacker is following up last year’s sensational debut season at Stamford Bridge with an equally impressive second campaign so far.
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca claims Palmer had one of his best games in Monday night’s 3-1 league win over Wolverhampton Wanderers despite not scoring or assisting. Hopefully, he can take momentum into Saturday’s trip to the Etihad Stadium to face his former club.

Alan Shearer names the most impressive thing about Chelsea talisman Cole Palmer
Like most pundits, Alan Shearer is a massive fan of Chelsea’s Palmer.
Shearer made the interesting claim that the “most impressive thing” about the left-footed playmaker is how effortless he makes everything look.
“Palmer has impressed me the most of any Chelsea player this season – they’re not the same team without him. He’s without a doubt their main man, as he was last season and he’s showing why again this season,” Shearer told The Metro.
“Some of the things he does with the ball is outrageous – he makes everything look ridiculously easy and calm, which of course it is not.
“That’s his character, that’s what is the most impressive thing about him.”
Joe Cole recently compared Chelsea’s Palmer to Lionel Messi, which is the most obvious sign as a player that you’re doing something correct.

What Ally McCoist predicted about Cole Palmer in pre-season
It was on most people’s minds to see if Palmer could back up a fantastic debut campaign at Chelsea with another successful year. He’s answered that quite emphatically with so many world-class performances already.
Ally McCoist did predict Palmer to enjoy a big second year in Chelsea colours. Back in August, McCoist said: “I bet he (Palmer) was a lot of people’s player of the season last year and it’s another big season for him. I don’t disagree; I think he’ll have a terrific season.”
Palmer is only six goals away from breaking the 20-goal barrier in second successive seasons in Chelsea colours.
