Los Angeles: Just six days after a scary incident where he coughed up blood, Rams tight end Tyler Higbee was back in action. He caught a touchdown pass in the first quarter against the Eagles during their NFC divisional round game on Sunday.
Higbee had a chest injury from the wild-card win over the Vikings, which sent him to the hospital. Coach Sean McVay said it was serious enough to worry everyone, but thankfully, he was able to travel back with the team.

McVay had a good feeling about Higbee playing against the Eagles. He practiced lightly on Wednesday and Thursday, then went full speed on Friday, so he was good to go for the game.
It didn’t take long for Higbee to make an impact. On the Rams’ third play, quarterback Matthew Stafford found him for a nine-yard gain. Later, he snagged another pass near the goal line, scoring a touchdown and giving the Rams a brief lead.
Despite only starting three games in the regular season due to recovering from a torn ACL and MCL, Higbee had been making strides. He caught five passes for 58 yards in their playoff opener.
The Rams were trailing 13-10 midway through the second quarter, with the Eagles scoring some long touchdowns. It was a tough game, but Higbee’s return was a bright spot for the team.
