Earlier this week, Juventus confirmed the signing of Renato Veiga from Chelsea on loan.
Renato Veiga wants to play in central defence, but Enzo Maresca mostly used him as a left-back this season.
It means that if Veiga has no intention of coming back to Chelsea or returns and demands to play at centre-back, the Blues will need to sign a new left-back.
Chelsea have been linked with a couple in the Premier League, and one name should really be at the top of their list.

Chelsea have Antonee Robinson on their shortlist
Last summer, Chelsea signed Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham, and it looks like they could move for one of his former teammates in the future.
It has been claimed that Chelsea have Antonee Robinson on their shortlist of left-backs. This late in the transfer window, it is hard to imagine the club signing him now, but he could be an option for them in the summer.
Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez is another Premier League left-back who has been linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge.
Kerkez is one of several Bournemouth players attracting interest from Chelsea. But again, a deal this month or next week looks unlikely.

Antonee Robinson’s stats this season suggest he is the complete full-back
Robinson has impressed in defence and attack in the current Premier League campaign, helping Fulham to stay in the top half of the table.
For example, according to WhoScored, the 27-year-old has made the most interceptions (44) among defenders.
Going forward, Robinson also has the most assists (nine) and the most accurate open-play crosses (35).
At this moment in time, the USA international looks like the complete full-back. He has the quality to challenge Marc Cucurella for the left-back spot at Chelsea.
With Veiga gone for the time being and Ben Chilwell not really in the picture, it would be great if the Blues could land him now. But with that not happening, Maresca will be relying on Cucurella heavily between now and the end of the season.
After failing to sign Veiga, it has been claimed that Borussia Dortmund could turn their attention to Chilwell.
