Chelsea have not kept it a secret that they are looking to strengthen their options at the back in the January transfer window.
It has been reported that they are keen to bring in a new option after it was revealed that they would be without both Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile for a prolonged period of time.
One of the options who has been mentioned since the transfer window opened is Marc Guehi, a player some at the club are more than aware of.

Chelsea tell Marc Guehi to push for move away from Crystal Palace in January
Enzo Maresca is personally a big fan of Guehi, with him knowing better than anyone what traits they need in a new centre-back.
He will be keen to find a regular partner for Levi Colwill, with him chopping and changing between Josh Acheampong, Tosin Adarabioyo and Axel Disasi since the injuries.
Simon Phillips has claimed that Chelsea have told Guehi that he should push for a move away this month, in order for the Blues to be able to progress with negotiations with Crystal Palace.
He said on the Simon Phillips Substack: “And speaking of players who are open to returning to Chelsea, Marc Guehi was also discussed in these same internal conversations yesterday. SPTC sources have heard that Chelsea have recommended Guehi to ‘push for the move’ this month for it to happen. It is unclear at this point whether the player will do that or not.”

Chelsea prepared to sell in order to sign Guehi
The England international pushing to leave his current club would likely depend on whether he is depserate to move back to Stamford Bridge.
It has previously been reported that Guehi is keen on joining on wages higher than Cole Palmer’s, which could cause a snag somewhere down the line.
However, the Blues are prepared to part ways with a number of players in order to raise the funds for this transfer.
This includes being willing to sell Axel Disasi, who seems firmly out of favour as a centre-back as things stand.
